This painting was created after months of doing only pencil & pen portraits.  I was hungry for colour and she just rose up from my canvas in defiance of the current lock-down situation.  It was an explorative painting and I had not idea what the end product should look like.  I stopped when I felt I had nothing more to give and there she was.

Awarded 3rd place in the February People’s Choice Awards, Barrie Art Club.
