This commission was for a dear friend in Chile who wanted to surprise her fiance for his birthday.

I wanted to portray their joy of being together. When I am painting I loose myself in chasing light and shadows, and shapes and curves by layering colour upon colour.  I strive to capture something of the person onto the canvas.  It is an impossible task but I have to try.
